Who Is Romka…

Washington, DC-based Romka comprises the cutting-edge tribal fusion duo of Belladonna and Mavi. They bring more than 20 years of combined dance studies to their art and have shared the stage with many innovative musicians and artistes.

Nationally recognized for their unique approach to fusion belly dance, Belladonna and Mavi have been featured instructors at numerous events and festivals, including Gothla US (CA), Spirit of the Tribes (FL), Tribal Fest (CA), Elevation (CO), TribOriginal (NC), and Tribal Alchemy (TX).

Romka produces and hosts DCTribal Café, the world’s longest-running professional monthly tribal fusion event, and the Annual Belly Horror Show. In addition, Mavi is featured on the Gothic Belly Dance Revelations DVD, and sword enthusiasts worldwide enjoy Belladonna’s Sword Stylization instructional DVD.

Belly Horror is Romka’s 4th Annual Halloween Belly Dance Show and Spectacle. From October 22 to October 25, performers from coast to coast will converge in Washington, DC, for a weekend of devilish delight, including extraordinary entertainment and fascinating workshops.

Alexandria’s Birchmere to Host Main Event

The Most Thrilling and Chilling Event is the one-night-only Belly Horror Show. On Friday, October 23, 2009, The Birchmere, “America’s Legendary Music Hall,” in Alexandria, VA, will host this Bewitching Extravaganza—the darker side of dance, a night of scintillating, sinister performances by 12 electrifying artistes.

Year after year, the dancers’ dazzling costumes, mesmerizing movements, and imaginative productions have captivated audiences. With your support, this show will be even more spellbinding!
